Reading through UrbanSurvival the other night, he started talking about 2012. He has some great links to a site called Institute for Human Continuity. The folks over there figure with "uncontestable" proof that the world is going to experience some major major disasters that year. They list the possibilities. Everyone who runs is listed by name and picture and with a Dr. in front. You can sign up for their lottery where they will try to save a handful of people if planet X come hurdling by. Hehe, you might think this was some kind of marketing ploy for a movie..hehe

When you get to think about it however, it may not be so far off. I am not sure about Planet X at this point. I am more of the school of... if some major event happens that most of the world's population doesn't make it through, it is probably self created.. meaning one ( or a few) of us, here, on this planet probably pulled the trigger causing the disaster. Much the same as what is happening with the unraveling economy now.

Think about it. Look at the incredibly stupid and unreasonable decisions that have been made in the last decade to get us to this point. If the prez and his staff and the elected reps of Congress, were truly managing the country for the benefit, freedom, and prosperity of the people they govern, they surely would not have taken this route. The decisions that were made were made by people who see no hope for the future. Who have no care for the other citizens of the country, much less of the rest of the world. Everything planned so short sighted.

The point was raised on the UrbanSurvival site that maybe it is because they know something. They have access to all the info, all the science, all the prognosications of what is coming up in the world. They might have seen something that tells them it is OK to do all this. Billion syphoned into black budgets to build out bunkers for the "Continuity of Government".. like they would have anyone to govern if the worst of possible scenarios did happen. I mean, how would you treat 300M people who you expect to be gone in a few years?

This week is suppose to be a biggy. Here in China, chinese new year just finished up. Several sources have been beating the drum about the stock markets taking another big slide this week. UrbanSurvival's Wave guru has a crash alert out.

Just to put it in perspective, the spring coming up is likely to be filled with events as the fabric of the current system starts to unravel. Trends Research calls it the Summer of Hell in the US. Several sources peg it as the time when the dollar comes unwound and commodities start to skyrocket. Even as we speak, gold is making a push back up the ladder into the 900's.

Several posts out there identifying US gov activity to setup camp in case of major unrest and civil disturbance. Its old news that a Army division has been redeployed to US soil to manage things. Also appears that some people don't really like what Obama is doing with the torture chambers, and are planning their own party.

The system that runs in the world right now is not sustainable. It has to be reshaped and reformed with different goals. But we won't do it voluntarily. We will go kicking and screaming. The first step is the economy. Shortly behind that, what we have done to the environment will come back to haunt us. Life is not over, but life will be different. It must be.
